This is a completely natural Long nosed cicada (Canthigaster Cicada Fulgoromorpha) rare fossil specimen from Lower Cretaceous.
This specimen has preserved its nose, excellent wing texture, and seems to have some body pattern being preserved. A very rare specimen with excellent detail indeed.
No restoration or painted on this specimen, completely natural.
The cicada is about 45mm in length, while the matrix is 220 x 100 mm.
Due to the fragile nature of this specimen, resin has been applied to the back of the thin slab for reinforcement.
